Much more than fizzy grape juice
We set out to make a non-alcoholic sparkling that could hold its own next to the real thing. It took 12 months of research and development and a blend of 11 white wine varietals, each chosen to keep its flavour and texture once the alcohol was removed.
Low-temperature distillation keeps the bubbles fine and the body full. Then we added something only Australia could: native botanicals, for a flavour you won't find anywhere else.

Your sparkling questions, answered
What is de-alcoholised wine?
It's real wine that has had the alcohol gently removed. We make ours from a South Australian cuvée, then use low-temperature distillation so the flavour, texture and bubbles stay intact.
Is it completely alcohol-free?
Our sparkling wines are de-alcoholised to less than 0.5% ABV, which is considered non-alcoholic in Australia. It’s a trace amount of alcohol, comparable to what can naturally occur in everyday foods and drinks like kombucha and orange juice.
Does it taste like real sparkling wine?
That's exactly what we set out to make. It's crisp, dry and full-bodied, and native botanicals give it a flavour that holds its own, not a sweet grape juice.
How much sugar is in it?
Our De-Alc Sparkling Wine has 4.8g of sugar per 100ml glass, and our De-Alc Sparkling Rosé has 4.6g. Each 750ml bottle pours around 7.5 glasses.
Can I drink it while pregnant or breastfeeding?
Lots of mums-to-be and new mums choose POLKA so they can still join the toast. As our sparkling may contain trace alcohol (under 0.5% ABV), we recommend checking with your healthcare professional if you're unsure.
How long does it last once opened?
Seal it with a sparkling wine stopper and keep it in the fridge. It's best enjoyed within 3-4 days once opened.
